Charity chosen: Hong Kong Dog Rescue
Money raised: $7,050 HKD
I still remember the day my mom brought this idea up to me. It was spring of 2012 and I was sitting on her bed, watching her organize her closet. She turned to me and said “Do you want to start selling your cookies?”. 11 year old me jumped with joy and immediately said yes. From there, I got to work and planned most of the process solo. I had the best time creating the order form, sending out emails and receiving orders. Since this was my first year doing a bake sale, I decided to sell 3 different types of cookies. I sold Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin and Double Chocolate Chip. In the end, I raised $7,050 Hong Kong Dollars and the money went to the Hong Kong Dog Rescue. It was hard work but was a really fun first year!
