Green Kale Smoothie

I wasn’t a green smoothie person until I tried this! I loved it the moment I tried it! Of course, it does taste like kale, but it doesn’t taste as bad as other vegetable smoothies I’ve tried. The only fruit in it is frozen bananas, which honestly surprised me because I thought I would need a higher fruit to vegetable ratio. There is also almond butter for protein and a hint of protein powder to give it a minty taste.

If I don’t have bananas in my freezer, I would use any other fruit I have in my freezer since frozen fruit really gives your smoothie a creamy “sorbet" texture. Frozen bananas are THE BEST for this (which is why they make amazing nice creams and acai bowl bases). I really like to play around with this recipe, as its a smoothie and you’re basically consuming it raw. Sometimes I have it thick like an acai bowl, other times I have it thinner like milkshake consistency.

Green Kale Smoothie

- A handful of curly kale 

- 1 frozen banana 

- 1 tsp Nuzest Cocoa Mint

- 1 tsp Almond butter 

- 2 dates, pitted 

- Oat milk (to add consistency)

Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender, adding oat milk until you reach your desired consistency! You might need a tamper to push everything down.
