Hi! My name is Vivian and I am a passionate baker!
I started loving food at a very young age. Since I was little, I was very open to trying new foods. My mom always says you have to try everything, then you can decide whether or not you like it! When I was younger, I would watch my mom bake apple pie and chocolate cake all the time!
When I was around 7 years old, I started baking my own desserts with cake mixes. After a few years, I realized I was making the same things over and over again while using very limited ingredients. I wanted to go further and bake desserts with fresh ingredients.
At around 9 years old, I started baking cookies and cakes with organic and fresh ingredients. I would bake whenever I had free time. Whenever we had a birthday in the family, I was in charge of the cake! I had so much fun creating each family member's cake and designing something to suit their interest!
When I was 13, I started attending cooking classes in Los Angeles, Califorina. I realized that not only do I have a passion for baking, I also love cooking. After class, I loved walking around the farmers market looking at all the fresh produce they had! I started cooking at home and making my favorite dishes!
I have explored and experimented with many different desserts such as French macarons, eclairs, pavlova, ice cream, tarts, cheesecake and so much more! I try to bake every weekend and try new recipes all the time!
Desserts aren't easy to make, especially the French Macaron. One of the photos on our home page slideshow is a picture of a classic French Macaron made by me. My mom and I looked for many different recipes and tried them. After 5 trials, we finally perfected the macaron.
Now I am currently in Senior year of high school. Besides baking, I have a huge passion for musical theatre and music!
