Chocolate Chip Cookies #3
BY FAR THE BEST RECIPE I’VE TESTED!! So happy I finally found the right vegan chocolate chip cookie recipe! The only thing I’d like to improve on is the texture - it was too hard for my liking but then again I could have overbaked it. Excited to try this out again!
ORIGINAL RECIPE HERE
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
2/3 cups coconut or brown sugar
1/3 cup melted coconut oil
1/4 cup warm water
1/3 cup chopped chocolate
Preheat your oven to 350F or 180C. Whisk together the flour + salt + baking soda + baking powder and set aside. In a separate bowl, mix together your sugar + oil + warm water*. Add the wet mixture to the dry, and mix until fully incorporated - but don’t over-mix! Add and fold in your chocolate.
Place the cookie balls on the baking sheets and slightly flatten using your palm. Bake your cookies for 15 minutes.
* make sure that your water is not cold, because cold water will Harden your melted coconut oil and the texture will be wrong.
